Introduction to Law PAR 115

Provides me with an understanding of the role of paralegals, issues facing paralegals, the working of the legal system, and ethical questions. Legal terminology and an overview of civil litigation and legal research will be discussed.

Introduction to Mediation MED 101

Introduces me to the role of the mediator in helping parties resolve their disputes. I will explore the conflict resolution, communication and problem solving skills that are necessary for achieving effective dispute resolution in both professional and personal situations.

Legal Research and Writing PAR 213

Provides me with an introduction to legal research and writing. This course is a consolidation of the previously designated Legal Research Course and the previously designated Legal Writing Course. The class discussions and exercises will commingle all three essential elements of the course, research, analysis and writing.

Property Law PAR 125

This course focuses on real estate law, ownership, sale, leasing, financing and government regulation of land.
